Currently Mr. McJannet is an independent senior member of the Winnipeg law group known as "McJannet Rich". All of the lawyers operating under the McJannet Rich umbrella take pride in providing the highest quality legal services in all areas of the law.

Mr. McJannet practises in business-commercial/corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, construction law, builders liens, shareholders disputes and buy-outs, real estate law, securities law and estate planning. He is currently a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Manitoba Inc. and a member of the ADR Institute of Canada Inc.

Mr. McJannet is a Past President of the Manitoba Bar Association; Past Member of the National Executive of the Canadian Bar Association; Past Member and Chairperson of the National Committee of Canadian Bar Association - Legislation Law Reform Committee; Past Member and Past Chairperson - Advisory Committee on Judicial Appointments for the Province of Manitoba; Member of the Manitoba Bar Association Lawyers' Assistance Committee

Mr. McJannet has been Special Consultant to the Manitoba Law Reform Commission re: The Builders' Lien Act; Chairperson - Task Force of The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce on Trademark Business Names legislation; and Past Chairman on two occasions of the Province of Manitoba's Minimum Wage Board, initially appointed in 1994 and re-appointed in 1998. On both occasions, Mr. McJannet has written a separate Minimum Wage Board Chairman's Report with recommendations to the Minister of Labour, Manitoba.

Mr. McJannet is a Director, Officer and General Counsel to The Winnipeg Supply & Fuel Company Limited and Winnipeg Supply & Services Ltd. Mr. McJannet incorporated and was General Counsel for twenty years of New Home Warranty Program of Manitoba Inc. Mr. McJannet presently represents in the Province of Manitoba the National Home Warranty Programs Ltd. In addition, Mr. McJannet acted for a lengthy period of time as General Counsel to the Manitoba Home Builders Association.

Mr. McJannet has also been a Governor of the Winnipeg Art Gallery; Director and President of Rainbow Stage Inc.; former Member and Chairman of Manitoba Advisory Board Central Trust Company; and former Member of Manitoba Advisory Board Central Guarantee Trust Company; Past Trustee and General Counsel - United Way of Winnipeg.

Mr. McJannet has acted for the Province of Manitoba in connection with several major arbitration matters. As well, Mr. McJannet has acted as a sole arbitrator and has been a Member/Chairman of various Fee Arbitration Boards established for members of The Law Society of Manitoba, and has written decisions in that capacity.
